Trying to sync Google calinder…..program installed ok but wants a .gmail login, changed to my comcast login and keep getting login failed.
Comment by Jack Warren — January 22, 2007 @ 11:37 amIt seems that non-gmail accounts sometimes don’t work. We’ll update the faq so that the technique of sharing your calendars with a gmail account. It appears to e a google issue.
Comment by OggSync — January 22, 2007 @ 12:05 pmWhenever I try to sync my calendar, it says “Login Failed” even when I type in the exact same username/password which is working on calendar.google.com. Do I have to activate something on my calendar to let it log in?
Comment by Ethan — January 23, 2007 @ 3:41 pmI will update the FAQ to address login issues. From your phone, try to go to this page in your device internet explorer: http://www.google.com/calendar/feeds/default/private/full And give it your username and password.
Comment by OggSync — January 23, 2007 @ 8:15 pmI have the pro version installed on my T-Mobile MDA. Oggsync will only run once without a reboot of the phone! My associate has the free version on the new T-Mobile Dash smartphone and it too only runs once without a reboot!
Any help is appreciated - LOVE the software and its functionality - just need this resolved..
Comment by Shep — January 25, 2007 @ 6:40 pmI just did the OTA install with the free version to try out on my Samsung Blackjack. The installation prompted me where I wanted to install the program (device/storage card), and I chose the storage card since I have ample space there. The installation completed successfully and the Blackjack restarted.
Now, how do I run OggSync???
I’ve searched through all my menus and there is no program icon for OggSync. Browsing folders, I can see the directories on the storage card that were created for the program, but there doesn’t seem to be any way to run the program. Please advise….
Comment by Steve — January 30, 2007 @ 12:37 pmVERY New user (2 days) - Trying to use the oggsync program for google calendar on my Motorola Q; seemed to download okay, but didn’t install. Read that sometimes only the CAB file downloads, so to find it and “open” it to kick off the installation. Was not listed under programs, but did find it (cabinstl.dll?) - when I tried to open it, got “Alert” re: no application associated with this and to run application first and then open this file inside the application. What application do I use, and what do I need to do? Appreciate any help you can offer =) Thanks!
Comment by Renay — February 25, 2007 @ 5:34 pmAddition to earlier message: I found a program file “oggsync” and tried to open it but got a message I could not open it because it was not signed by a trusted signature. Can you please help? Thanks!
Comment by Renay — February 25, 2007 @ 6:09 pmI installed oggsync but was only able to do it using the CAB file. Problem is that when I run oggsync a Window comes up saying that it was not able to load required components of the .NET Compact Framework, whatever that is. Can someone help me with this? I am not able to run the program at all….
Comment by Steve — March 12, 2007 @ 9:26 am.NET Compact Framework by Mircosoft is an application framework for Windows mobile platforms. .NET Compact Framework’s managed code and XML Web services enable the development of secure, downloadable applications on devices such as personal digital assistants (PDAs), mobile phones, and set-top boxes..
OggSync requires .NET CF version 2.0. The CAB file is on the website also, run this first then launch OggSync to take you through setup.
Comment by OggSync — March 12, 2007 @ 11:23 amI received information to download the CAB version of .NET, however my Pocket PC is not a phone. I tried the download but when I tried installing it said this was not a compatible file.
Comment by Steve — March 12, 2007 @ 11:50 amTo all who are having problems installing the .NET compact framework on your phone (I am using the T-mobile SDA smartphone), especially on your storage card, you need to clear out the 5.4 megabytes in your main memory ANYWAYS and THEN do it, even to the card. No idea why, but this worked for me. I just cleared out all my old texts from all the SMS message folders (sent, inbox, deleted, etc.) and it freed up the 4MB or so I needed.

I installed and bought the Pro version. I had a popup each time the application went to update Google. I decided I did not want to see the popup each time and clicked the box to remove it. I now would like to have it back, is that possible?
Thanks!
Comment by Tony Nowell — July 18, 2007 @ 3:09 pmDownloaded the trial version of Oggsync for WinMobile, Pocket PC. Synced fine with the Google calendar first time. Added an event in Outlook; after sync, the event was added in Google calendar. But when I removed the new event in Outlook, it would not remove the event in the calendar. Tried to resync several times - still the event persists on the Google calendar, even though it is gone from Outlook on the device.
Any suggestions? Ready to buy the full version as soon as we can verify the functionality.
