Installation Instructions for WinMobile
How to setup OggSync:
If you are not sure of the version or whether you have .Net Compact Framework 2.0 installed on your mobile, you should just download it in addition to the OggSync software from our site. You can download it OTA or using your PC.
Over the Air (OTA) Download:
- From your mobile browser, Click to download the CAB file for .Net CF 2.0 if needed, then run it on your mobile.
- From your mobile browser, Click to download the CAB file for OggSync then run it on your mobile and your ready to configure your mobile device.
Note: Some phones and devices will only download the CAB file, but will not kick off the install process. If OggSync doesn’t appear in your programs list, go to the File Manager in your phone, and select the CAB file that you downloaded to kick off the installation process, once the installation is complete, then you will see it in the programs list.
Connected Download:
- From your PC, Click to Download the Windows file for .Net CF 2.0 if needed, run the Windows CF installer.
- From your PC, Click to Download the Windows file for OggSync then:
- Open the OggSync setup file and the install Wizard will guide you through the setup.
- Your pending application is installed, the next time your device is connected to the cradle, the installed application will be downloaded to the device automatically and your ready to configure your mobile device.
Initial Setup on the Mobile:
- Once installed, OggSync will add an icon to the Windows start menu on your mobile.
- Launch OggSync and get the red splash screen.
- The first time you run OggSync you will follow the wizard:
- First time welcome screen will ask you to either register or use the Freeware version.
- You will need to accept the EULA .
- You will be asked for your google login information.
- You need to choose a default calendar. This is the Google calendar where OggSync will put events from your device or Outlook by default. If you use Outlook at work, for example, you may wish to create a “work” calendar and set this as your default.
- You will then need to choose which calendar to sync (only Pro users will be able to select more than one).
4. Next click Menu button in the OggSync program, go to Calendars, select which calendar(s) to sync.
5. Set how often OggSync will sync new/edited events (Pro only).
6. Set the date range to sync events, default is 1 year in the future, and 2 weeks in the past.
7. Click Sync to get events.
IT’S THAT EASY!

Comment by myrom — January 30, 2007 @ 5:11 amThis is a really great little program!
Comment by carus — February 21, 2007 @ 4:46 amhttp://oggsync.com/m/NETCFv2.wce5.armv4i.cab will not seem to download onto my Treo 750. The browser will sit at the address but with no apparent download.
The OggSync.cab downloads properly and I can open it (But it won’t function because the Treo needs the .Net cab).
Can you please contact me with advice?
Comment by Kirk — May 7, 2007 @ 12:30 pmPerhaps restart the phone and try again? The link works, just tested it.
Comment by OggSync — May 7, 2007 @ 12:36 pmFor everyone else’s benefit, Oggsync support helped out and noted that for the Palm Treo 750, I need:
http://oggsync.com/m/NETCFv2.wm.armv4i.cab
Downloaded and am now syncing with Google. Thanks!
Feature request: contact syncs!
Comment by Kirk — May 7, 2007 @ 3:15 pmWe agree. We want contact syncs. The good news is that we can add it fairly easily once it is out. Bad news is that Google has no contact support yet! :/
Comment by OggSync — May 13, 2007 @ 10:04 pmwhen i put my username and password it just says login unseccessful
Comment by jay — May 26, 2007 @ 8:21 amUsing Blackjack the WinMobile free program loaded fine but login fails eventhough using correct info. Please advise.
Comment by Robert — June 2, 2007 @ 3:42 pmI also got the failed login. I verified my info and tried several times. I installed the .NET 2.0 CF. I tried deleting the @gmail.com part that the form suggests also.
Comment by Jim Jacobson — June 7, 2007 @ 4:16 pmI should have said also that I am running on a Moto Q (WM5).
Comment by Jim Jacobson — June 7, 2007 @ 4:16 pmIs there a .Net CF 2.0 for SmartPhone with WM2003?
Comment by Dannisk — June 7, 2007 @ 10:20 pm(I don’t have a gmail mail account.)
Comment by Mats — June 8, 2007 @ 9:37 amI get login failed but the same login works if I try it on my PC.
It works now.
The problem was that I was in an area of the building where the Internet connection from my mobile phone was spotty. When I went to a good spot it worked. So a failed login may be due to a lack of connectivity, not just bad values in the form.
Comment by Jim Jacobson — June 8, 2007 @ 12:43 pmI downloaded the program successfully to my motorolla q (I think - when i tried to download it again it asked me if i wanted to overwrite the version already installed) but I still don’t see the icon in my start menu and can’t figure out how to start up the program. any suggestions? Thanks.
Comment by Mark L. — June 27, 2007 @ 8:52 amI tried to install on iMate Jam. gives me the following error:

Comment by Kapil — June 27, 2007 @ 3:09 pmI loaded the software and it said it was successful, but there is nothing new that I can find on my phone. What might have happened?
Comment by Renita — July 3, 2007 @ 11:50 amHi,
I’m seeing the same problem as Mark L. I can download and install the CAB file but, I never see the program icon. Any suggestions?
Mike
