Find answers to common questions about OggSync.
You need Microsoft Outlook (2010 or later) installed on your Windows computer and a Google account. OggSync works with personal Google accounts and Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) business accounts.
Download the installer from our website, run it, and follow the setup wizard. You'll be prompted to sign in with your Google account and authorize OggSync to access your calendar. The entire process takes about 2 minutes.
Yes. OggSync communicates directly with Google's servers using their official API. Your calendar data is never stored on or routed through any third-party servers. We never see your events, contacts, or any personal information.
When you create, edit, or delete an event in either Outlook or Google Calendar, OggSync detects the change and replicates it to the other calendar. This keeps both calendars identical without any manual effort.
Yes, with OggSync Pro. You can sync multiple Google calendars to different Outlook folders, or combine them into a single view. This is perfect for managing work and personal calendars together.
OggSync fully supports recurring events including exceptions. If you have a weekly meeting but move one instance to a different day, that exception syncs correctly to both calendars.
You can configure the sync window in OggSync settings. By default, it syncs events within 365 days, but this is fully customizable based on your needs.
First, verify you have an internet connection. Then check that your Google authorization hasn't expired (you can reauthorize in OggSync settings). Finally, check the sync log for any specific error messages.
Duplicates usually occur if you've synced the same calendar with multiple tools. We recommend using only OggSync for Outlook-Google sync. You can clean up duplicates by removing them from one calendar and letting OggSync sync the deletion.
This is typically a time zone issue. Make sure your time zone settings match in both Outlook and Google Calendar. OggSync respects both time zone settings and handles the conversion automatically.
The free version includes two-way sync for a single calendar with manual triggering. Pro adds multiple calendar support, automatic scheduled sync, contacts and tasks sync, and priority support.
Yes! When you first install OggSync, you get a 14-day trial of all Pro features. After that, you can continue using the free version or upgrade to Pro.
